This is the story of a female orangutan with albinism. Her name is Alba, and that name perfectly suits her. She is a beautiful, intelligent, socialized and at the same time extremely vulnerable monkey. People took a radical step to protect her – they gave Alba a whole island!
Alba is very lucky, because from early childhood she was noticed and surrounded by care. Still, she is the only one on the planet to look like this. And another sad fact is that there are very few orangutans left on earth anyway.
But it is also a proven fact that so much care also has its minus, too many people wanted to see and disturb Alba for no reason, so it was decided to move her to a separate territory. But she was not going to be alone there. Four more orangutans were going to live with her, with whom she became inseparable friends.
Since Alba is an albino, she cannot hunt as efficiently as other apes. And she herself is vulnerable, so a small island with an area of ​​about 10 hectares was chosen for her. Its location is hidden, there are only patrols of border guards and employees of the reserve, who leave food for Alba in addition to what grows on the island.
