A photo of a Kherson shepherd dog that was rescued from the Dnipro waters has been circulating on social media. It gratefully wraps its paws around the leg of the person who rescued it. Soaked and exhausted, the dog looks at his rescuers with eyes filled with pain and tears.
This amazing moment was captured by several Ukrainian photographers: Serhiy Korovainy and Danylo Pavlov.
Rescuers took the shepherd dog out of the flooded areas of Kherson on a rubber boat.
