People’s creativity and different lifestyles are crazy. They always show how different we all are, and that we all choose a lifestyle we find interesting and unique.

Decommissioned aircraft in Alaska have been cleverly transformed into remarkable dwelling quarters by JN and Stephanie. They managed to integrate an aviation academy with excellent lodging options for the night. And here is the incredible story!

A functioning cargo door for large bags, an original cockpit with a flying simulator, and a wing deck are among its features. The couple’s original plans included hangars, runways, and student cabins; but, as work progressed, their plans were modified. To cut expenses, they made the decision to convert a dry building, such as an airplane.

Both the guests and the children had an amazing time as a result of this choice. The airplane house is made up of a DC9 and a Boeing 727 that were both bought as scrap for less than $100,000.  But at more than $100,000 each, the cost of transportation accounted for a sizeable amount of the investment.

JN and Stephanie estimate that the cost of each aircraft is more over half a million dollars, even though precise numbers are not yet available. They drove seven-inch stakes twenty feet into the earth to anchor the house. To make the plane resistant to wind and earthquakes, they bolted and welded it to these supports.

The interior has a living space, a technical room, and a cloakroom. It is roughly 700 square feet in size. The original cargo door, a cockpit with a flight simulator, and plans to link the flying controls with Microsoft’s simulator were all carefully preserved.

This unique Alaskan experience is a compelling and exclusive overnight choice for travelers looking for something truly remarkable. Check out the video bellow to learn more about their story and see their amazing house! We are sure you will love it. Enjoy watching!
